"Engineering" here means the full discipline of building systems that can be trusted: defining what a system must do, architecting how it does it, verifying that it was built right, and validating that the right thing was built. That thread runs through everything I do — from validating a statistical model to tracing a requirement through a SysML model to production monitoring.
Specialties
Requirements engineering, systems architecture, verification and validation, and lifecycle thinking for complex systems.
Conceptual soundness, backtesting, stress testing, ongoing monitoring, and governance for models that drive decisions.
ML model validation, governance for AI systems, and reproducible machine learning practice.
Model-based systems engineering: SysML modeling, requirements traceability, and model-based verification.
From practice to code
Each specialty is backed by working tooling — see projects — and written up in my research notes, where I work through the methods in public.
